Frank has reserved all 12 rooms at the 59er in DL for the race weekend.  When I called up there the owner told me he is expecting people to just get a hold of Frank to put their names down and he is just going to give all 12 keys to Frank to sort out who gets what room etc....with that being said...contact Frank if you would like one of these rooms!  I do know that the Pine to Palm has no more vacancies and the Holiday Inn was almost completely booked several weeks ago.

I've secured another parade for us to participate in that would perfectly help promote Menominee and Forest Lake.  Parade takes place Sunday June 24th in Milltown, WI (about 35 miles from Forest Lake).  The parade winds up their annual weekend long summer Fisherman's Party.  This draws a LOT of people and would be a great opportunity to expose the crowds to 2 races that are within an hour drive of the locals!  Looking to get 3-4 different boats that demonstrate a nice variety of the classes we race.  Further discussion at the May meeting.

Rescue boat ONE is in the process of being fitted for a rescue hoist.  In the process it was apparent there are many needed upgrades/repairs to be done.  Most of these will be completed by tonight!  New Stokes basket on the way as well.  See you at the meeting tomorrow night...same bat channel, same bat time as this past winter.

You can also subscribe to the main page AND the Anouncements content by clicking on the "add webslice" icon when you hover over the middle of the page.  This will add a button on your favorites bar that will alert you to updates and allow you to open the main page and anouncements without actually going to the site.  RECOMMENDED to be notified automatically of any updates made! 

RSS is enabled on the events calendar and in the Forums.  Simply click the RSS icon in the upper corner (top or bottom) to subscribe to the feed.  In Explorer you can add the feed to your top bar...then click the button for the feed and the current events calendar will show in a drop down menu.  In FireFox you can add it to your google or yahoo home page or add it to the Live bookmarks.  I will demonstrate this and other things at the March meeting.
